Buying a home, building a home, renting a home? All things home related are exciting and can also cause stress in your life as well. How do you know who to trust when making these major life decisions?
Go to the experts, ask your friends and family who they have used in the past and read the “Best Of’s” lists. All of these tips can help when it’s time to make your buying, building or renting process go smoothly.
Today we ask the question, who is America’s Most Trusted Home Builder? Luckily, Lifestory Research conducts a study each year and tabulates the opinions of home shoppers.
The study is based on 31,764 consumer opinions. The Lifestory Research’s survey is now in its fifth year and aims to understand the link between consumer trust and brand evaluation. It does this by ranking the nation’s top 20 builders based on their Net Trust Index Quotient Score (an average score is 100). How is this done? Consumer opinions are collected over the course of the prior 12 months in the largest home building markets in the United States. To qualify to participate in the study, participants must have indicated that they were aware of specific brands and actively shopping for a new home.
And the winner is… Taylor Morrison! This is the second consecutive year in which Taylor Morrison has been identified among home shoppers as being the home builder they trust the most among the nation’s largest builders.
Taylor Morrison operates in 16 regional markets across nine states – Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, N. Carolina, S. Carolina and Texas – and closed more than 6,300 homes in 2015.
“Relationships and trust are the foundation of success for any business,” said Taylor Morrison President and CEO Sheryl Palmer, whose company was also ranked No. 1 in last year’s study. “Every day we strive to provide our customers with the resources and support to help them make an educated decision about their most important investment.”
Here are the 20 builders that nabbed the highest scores on the survey:
William Lyon Homes
David Weekley Homes
“When a brand attains the trust of people, the brand stands apart from all others,” says Eric Snider, Lifestory Research president. “It is a distinction that Taylor Morrison has captured the trust of home shoppers in two consecutive years in the study. Trust is the new currency by which people evaluate brands.”
